Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has described Bruno Fernandes as a top player after the Portuguese came up with a brilliant delivery from a corner which contributed to Harry Maguire’s first-ever Premier League goal for the club. The 25-year-old only made his second appearance in the United shirt on Monday night against Chelsea and he produced a good performance from the number 10 spot with three key chances created.

As a result, he was voted by United fans as their player of the match and Solskjaer was likewise appreciative of the display from the club’s January signing. He told: “He’s a top player, he wants to get on the ball. But at set-ball delivery he’s top class, one of the better ones I’ve seen. And Harry, we know if he can get a run on the ball he’s dangerous and he got the goal.”

Speaking to BeIN Sports, Wenger said that the current United side have plenty of potential but they have not been able to provide a collective performance, he told: “When you see United, they are one of the examples where there’s a potential. But they have not found a collective way. Maybe these players are not mature enough to carry the play of a team like United, altogether. That’s the question mark now. You feel there is something coming out but it’s not ready. When you watch them play, they are not a candidate to fight for the championship. Will they emulate what Giggs, Scholes and Beckham did over a number of years? I’m not convinced.”
Thereafter, the game remained lively with the Blues once more keeping up the pressure on the United end but they eventually succumbed to a disappointing loss after conceding three goals on the counter-attack after the hour mark. Speaking after the game, Mourinho said that United will have a good season when compared to the previous where they finished sixth on the standings.
In a report covered by ESPN, Ibrahimovic said that the midfielder seems to hold the ambition of joining Real Madrid and the Red Devils should part ways with his services, considering the speculation could have a detrimental effect on other members of the squad, he said: “I think if he does not want to stay there is no sense to keep him.
