Rangnick began his reign as the Red Devils manager in the Premier League with a slim win over London team Crystal Palace. Brazil senior national team midfielder Fred scored the only goal of the game in the final quarter of the encounter as Manchester United secured a 1-0 victory at home to the Eagles.

The second home game for Rangnick in the league came against Burnley earlier this week. The German tactician was in the Manchester United dugout as they secured a 3-1 win over the Clarets. The Red Devils scored all their goals in the first half which is the same as Burnley who scored their lone goal in the same half.

The first goal of the Premier League clash between hosts Manchester United and Burnley came from Scotland national team player Scott McTominay in the eighth minute. The second goal of the game was scored by Burnley skipper Ben Mee who put through his own net in an unfortunate manner.

Manchester United doubled their advantage with the own goal from Manchester City Academy graduate Mee on 27 minutes. Talisman Cristiano Ronaldo added a third goal for the Red Devils eight minutes later for his 14th goal in all competitions this season. Ronaldo has six goals in the Champions League plus eight goals in the Premier League.

Aaron Lennon scored the lone goal for the away team with seven minutes left on the clock as far as the first half is concerned.

Rangnick would be eyeing another win against Wolves to add to the ones  from the Palace and Burnley games.
