Louis van Gaal might resign and United want to sign Japanese forward

Following Manchester United’s 3rd successive defeat after losing against Stoke City, Louis van Gaal has announced the possibility of him resigning from his managerial position of the Premier League club.

In a press conference after their loss against Stoke City, the Dutch coach of Manchester United was asked about his current situation in Old Trafford and if he has any kind of assurance to stay as the head coach despite his recent string of losses, Louis van Gaal replied by saying that he can simply quit himself if things get too serious or heated.

“I can also quit by myself. That is something I speak to Ed Woodward about by himself not with you. It is not always that the club has to fire or sack me. Sometimes I do it by myself. I am the one who wants to speak first with the board of Manchester United and with my members of staff and players and not with you.” Louis van Gaal said as he replied to questions during one of his latest press conferences.

Even though Louis van Gaal might decide to resign if negative results continue to emerge, this hasn’t stopped transfer rumors from popping, these rumors are linking Manchester United with the Japanese striker Yoshinori Muto. A bid in the region of £10 million for Yoshinori Muto is expected to be made from Manchester United as the winter transfer window is edging closer and closer.

Yoshinori Muto is a 23 year old forward who is performing for Mainz and has managed to score 7 goals in 17 Bundesliga appearances. Muto’s contract with the Bundesliga club expires in 2019 but it could see him leaving earlier depending if whether or not Manchester United is able to launch an enticing offer for the Japanese attacker, United is looking to increase their attacking options and Muto has turned into a priority target for the Premier League but it remains unsure as to how much exactly it will help them in their season which is beginning to collapse.
