Kleberson believes Manchester United should part ways with Paul Pogba

Former Manchester United midfielder Kleberson has said that the Red Devils should take the option of selling Paul Pogba this summer, given the midfielder does not suit the club’s style of play. The Frenchman has been with the Red Devils for the past three seasons but he has acknowledged that he could move on during the current transfer window.

In a report covered by The Mirror, Klebersonappreciated that the Frenchman remains a great player, though he does not seem to suit the Red Devils. He said: “It is the right move to sell Paul Pogba, he’s a great player and his talent is unbelievable, but his style is a little bit different, and not particularly what Man United need. He could use this opportunity now to leave and get a fresh start, play in a different atmosphere, and embrace a new challenge. Sometimes it’s hard to come to Manchester United and adapt to play a particular style. It doesn’t mean he’s not a good player with great quality.”

Pogba was the Red Devils’ top performer during the previous season with 16 goals and 11 assists across all competitions. Despite this, he was the subject of criticism from the supporters, considering he was poor with the performances during the final months of the campaign. At present, Real Madrid are deemed the favourites to land the 2018 World Cup winner but they have yet to meet United’s £150m valuation.

Los Blancos are deemed to have proposed a part-exchange deal to reduce the price tag but the Mancunian giants are adamant that they want a straight-cash move for the Frenchman. Pogba has recently returned to pre-season duties with the club and he could feature for them during the opening friendly against Perth Glory on July 13. Apart from Pogba, there are also doubts over the future of Romelu Lukaku, who is the subject of interest from Inter Milan.
